Senior Security Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our Service Engineering team within Nixu’s Managed Services (MS) department. MS is a tech-savvy group of people, with a common interest in improving the security of our customers. In this role, you would be focusing on further strengthening our capabilities in both protection and detection domains.

In this role, you will:

• Lead varying customer assignments, ranging from simple engagements to more complex deployment projects.
• Have the chance to influence the projects that you get. Thus, you can affect where you personally develop, so you can develop in the way that you want.
• Work with client stakeholders which are mostly the technical security or IT infrastructure personnel. Thus, this is a customer-facing role.
• Drive continuous improvements in our customers’ environments.
• Enable us to build scalable, efficient, and high-quality managed services, especially focusing on further enhancing our protection and detection capabilities.
• Work closely with other internal stakeholders to enhance the capabilities of the Nixu Security Operations Center

All or some of these are your strengths include:

• Scripting and/or programming, especially in languages such as PowerShell and Python
• Windows server system administrator
• Hyper-V and VMware platforms
• Threat modeling
• Understanding of Data Center Operations
• Microsoft Active Directory Security
• Fluent skills in English

Experience in the following topics is beneficial for this position:

• Medium-to-large-scale system integrations, especially when it comes to data flows and data processing experience with high throughput and high availability integrations and/or ETL-pipelines

• Any security certifications are appreciated
• Previous experience in SIEM technology
• Log collection technologies and agents
• Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
